Formaseal

Product Description

Formaseal is an extruded flexible sealant designed for a wide variety of sealing requirements. Formaseal is used  to seal  and silence the rattling of loose manhole  covers, catch basin grills, meter pit caps and sewer lids.  It is used on roofs to seal open seams, cracks, flashing around pipes, ventilators and gutters.

Features and Benefits

  • Packaged on special release paper for easy removal at time of application.
  • Forms a permanently plastic seal that will not dry out, crack, shrink or deteriorate with age, even when subjected to extreme weather exposure.
  • Remains flexible at sub-freezing temperatures and will not crack when exposed to -40°F (-40°C) temperatures.
  • Unaffected by high atmospheric heat and does not flow or sag at temperatures up to 300° F (149°C).
  • Totally immune to moisture, providing a positive seal against penetration of water, vapor and low pressure steam.
  • Provides a high degree of vibration dampening and will not chip, crack or shatter upon violent impact.
  • Contains no volatile solvents and consists of 100% solids.
  • Conforms and adheres to any surface, even smooth metal or glass.
  • May be easily shaped and formed with no objectionable staining of the skin.
  • Repaired area requires no drying time permitting immediate service.
